The Integral Yoga® Teachers Training Beginners Level 1 is designed for dedicated students with a year's experience of attending IY classes regularly. Other students with less than a year's experience may be accepted upon the recommendation from their IY teacher. Students considering joining Teacher training need to have a good foundation of practicing Hatha Yoga to their personal level (level 1 and above) and should be familiar with the basic structure of IY. Students are also asked to acknowledge the fact that IY was founded and based on the teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda Maharaj.

The course is designed for those who are interested in deepening their own understanding and practice of yoga as well as wanting to teach Integral Yoga®. The course provides a wonderful opportunity for students interested in leading a more spiritual life or for those who want to gain some degree of mastery and control over undesirable habits and thought patterns. The course enables students to develop physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually leading to experience of greater contentment, health, happiness and peace. Our comprehensive certification programs provide a strong foundation for personal and spiritual development, an appreciation for nurturing your own practice and the skills for you to become a knowledgeable and professional Yoga Teacher. You will receive instruction in the Integral Yoga approach to teaching Hatha Yoga. You will be taught how to give clear, concise instructions for each posture, with the benefits, and how to lead students in deep relaxation, breathing practices, chanting and meditation. You will also study and practice the different aspects of Integral Yoga (Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Japa and Hatha Yoga), including meditation, breathing practices, chanting, selfless service, Yoga philosophy, and more. When you graduate, you will have the necessary knowledge and experience to stand before a group and teach a class with confidence and ease. Graduates of a School on the Yoga Register (YRS) are entitled to use the letters YRT (Yoga Register Teacher) and benefit from a discounted subscription rate of ?25 for annual entry on The Yoga Register.
