Sally Parkes Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive, all encompassing, thorough and honest approach to yoga and how to teach yoga. With seven nights in the beautiful mountains of the Andalucían countryside at The Hacienda Retreat Center, and five weekends in London, the course is rooted in science whilst being respectful to the yoga tradition. Together we will explore the Eight Limbs of Yoga and how, as a dedicated yoga teacher, they should infiltrate both your practice (on and off the mat) as well as your teaching of yoga. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology and the biomechanics of safe and effective asana (yoga posture) practice, as well as knowledge of yoga philosophy, meditation, pranayama, Ayurvedic principles and subtle anatomy. You will learn how to teach both vinyasa and hatha yoga and our intention is to empower our student teachers with the tools required for a fulfilling, enjoyable and successful teaching career, enabling you to work in many different venues including health clubs and yoga studios and teach internationally. To allow for learning time, this course is spread over five months and is both residential and non-residential.

We hold a full week in the beautiful surroundings of Andalucía, Spain at The Hacienda Retreat Centre, and five weekends at The Double Tree Hilton Hotel Islington in London.

Student testimonials

Many thanks for everything - it's been an amazing journey and I can't believe how much I have learned so quickly. I have my first classes set up and pretty much booked for August and hope to roll out a full programme from September. T Johnson, 2014

I am so glad I chose you as my Teacher Trainer, I looked at many other providers but liked the responses you gave and having spent the two weeks with you know I made the right decision. You are very approachable, supportive and fair and I have nothing but respect for you. S. Fryer, 2013

'I had such an incredible two weeks and will never forget my training with you. You are very talented teachers and the course is designed perfectly and as I said proved to have the patience of a saint! The course is a perfect balance of the hands on teaching, theory and of course the much loved yoga practice itself. Totally didn't want it to end but excited for the future. Setting a new intention for my return to keep momentum, persevere and push forward with the strong start you've given me. Thank you for all your work and support once again. Defining moment'. E Griffiths, 2013

'There is nothing even broadly comparable to the time that I had in Spain learning and truly beginning to understand what it means to teach yoga and to live by its principles. I am truly humbled by the time, effort and energy that you put in over the two weeks. I know that this may sound really 'icky' but I bow to your knowledge and experience and for helping me shift from the viewpoint that to become a yoga teacher is a longer way off and something that is so specialist and esoteric. I feel that teaching yoga is certainly within touching distance. I feel so much more confident and capable. I know that the path that I have chosen is a long one, but I feel worthy enough and knowledgeable enough to begin to teach, even if it is small groups or at beginner level. Thanks to you, I am that much closer than I was two weeks ago. You guys 'moved' me, both emotionally and spiritually plus you are just regular people with warmth and such passion for what you do. Love it!'. L Greenway, 2013

'Just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful teacher training. It was an amazing journey and I have learnt a lot and met some amazing people. If I had a chance to do it all again, I wouldn't even think twice! Thank you very much for putting this amazing course together, for bringing together amazing teachers and for making it fun! I really liked your laid back attitude and sense of humour - it made our training so much more fun! Please pass on my thanks to all other teachers: To Dawn for achieving the impossible - making anatomy and physiology interesting and fun. I studied this before for a couple of months and I feel that I have learned more in two weekends with Dawn. And to Paula who taught us a lot on a couple of hours we spent with her and was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. I look forward to completing the last test and receiving my certificate'. K Middleton, 2013
