Introduction

Welcome to the IYN online registration for Yoga Elders. As part of this application, you will be asked to upload some or all of the supporting documents listed below. Before continuing with your application, please check that you have the relevant documents. We accept the following file formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .jpeg, .png and .odt.

Required documents:

A general CV containing a section on your Yoga experience
Copies of any relevant certificate[s] or letter of recommendation
A maximum of two photos, if you'd like to be listed on the IYN website
If you're applying for BGi insurance and would like CAM therapies added to your insurance policy you will need to provide relevant certificates
Evidence of current third party liability insurance. If you do not already have insurance and would like to apply for for BGi insurance then you can apply using this service.

Please provide a short account of how your teaching is aligned with the principles of satya, ahimsa and svadhyaya, i.e. how is it safe, grounded in your practice and your students' practice, and how is it truthful. As a rough guide, 200 - 500 words should be sufficient.

Your submission:

Please provide an account of 5000 hours of teaching - time, place, venue. We realise that you might not have records going back decades. You can supply realistic estimates. Use a format something like the following:

1996 Fred's Ashram 45 classes @2 hours = 90 hours
1997 My Yoga Centre 20 private 1-to-1s @1.5 hours = 30 hours

Please supply copies of any certificates you have relating to your Yoga training, whether with an IYN registered school or otherwise. Include here copies of certificates relating to any CAM therapies you practise, particularly if you’d like them to be included in your insurance cover. Please don't send original certificates. Insurance: Please note, you are required to carry adequate insurance cover as a condition of registration. You may apply for BGi insurance below or provide evidence of cover from another provider. Applicants can hold insurance supplied by any bona fide broker. Minimum cover is £5 million. Teaching without cover automatically voids membership of the IYN. If you use another insurance provider other than BGi, please upload a copy of your cover document.
