Yoga Teacher Training with The Kevala Centre (Yoga Register School)

Principal: Ruth Gilmore

What is the Aim of the Diploma Course in Yoga Teachings?
This exciting Yoga Teaching course has been designed for students of Yoga who wish to formalise their knowledge. The course takes you on a fascinating journey that will prepare you for your role as tutor and guide. It aims to remove much of the mystique and thereby open yoga up to wider participation. On this diploma course you will also investigate the use of chakras, different meditation techniques, the use of pranayama and how to set up and run a class. You will also learn about positive thinking, nutrition, fasting, the healing breath and a small section on yoga for children.

This course is designed to teach the student of Yoga how to pass the benefits on to others - it does not set out to teach yoga postures to those with no experience. We require students on this course to have been studying the asanas for at least two years and to have reached at least intermediate level. It is also compulsory to continue to attend a local yoga class while studying.

As with all our diplomas, we strongly recommend the students attend at least one tutorial at the Centre for assessment and support.
