DRU YOGA SCHOOL

About Dru Yoga

Tailored for the 21st century, yet rooted in ancient yogic tradition, Dru Yoga has rapidly made its mark as one of the most effective antidotes to the stresses of modern day living.

You can enjoy its benefits whatever your age, state of health or level of fitness, and the Dru Teacher Training qualification is accepted worldwide. Both graceful and potent, its distinct feature is that it strengthens the powerful field of energy surrounding your heart, which in turn harmonises every level of your body, mind and emotions.

Combining a uniquely flowing style of movements with simple but powerful breathing techniques, mudra (hand gestures), affirmations, meditation and relaxation techniques, Dru Yoga has shown again and again that it is one of the most powerful means of achieving emotional and mental balance.

Stages of the Course

Stage 1: During the first stage you'll learn the foundations of Dru Yoga - its principles, postures, sequences, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, deep relaxations and physiology. Communication and teaching skills will be a regular feature in the teacher training aspect of the programme throughout the course, which you will find enjoyable and beneficial whether or not you plan to teach.

Stage 2: In the second stage you will refine and develop your understanding of Dru Yoga, as well as learn how to develop specific therapeutic programmes to suit your students' requirements. You'll learn to understand and then manage your body's subtle energy system, gaining control over your emotions, mind, relaxation response and more. From there, you'll learn how apply these new insights to dramatically expand your ability to manage group and class energetics.
